B.o.B. discusses Andre 3000 collaboration [VIDEO]

After being away from the game, Andre 3000 has made a comeback, of sorts, in 2011. Currently, the veteran rapper is all over the radio through his verse on Beyonce’s “Party” single. Andre 3000 has also been featured on Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV and will be working with B.o.B. Among the new artists to emerge during Andre 3000’s hiatus is B.o.B., who is signed to T.I.’s Grand Hustle label.

During the fall, B.o.B. returned to the headlines when he announced his Lil Wayne-assisted “Strange Clouds” single, which is the first single from his second album. Initially, the album was untitled and set to be released in 2011. However, needing more time to record, B.o.B. delayed the album until 2012 and decided to name it Strange Clouds, also.

Growing up a fan of Outkast and Andre 3000, B.o.B. was living out a dream when he had the chance to record with Three Stacks. B.o.B. said Andre 3000 was taken to the year 5000 on their track, which will be featured on Strange Clouds. Describing the song as “really dope,” B.o.B. said the song displays the difference between his and Andre’s style. The song is a passing-of-the-torch, of sorts, from Andre 3000 to B.o.B., according to Bobby Ray.
