Baltimore Police Release Store Footage of Store Owner Shot and Killed in Front of Her Children

Police in Baltimore have been on the hunt for a pair of suspects involved in the killing of a mother who was gunned down in front of her own children.

36-year-old Carmen Rodriguez was shot dead in front of her kids during an armed robbery. Rodriguez was working in a family owned deli shop when an assailant came in demanding money. She was working with her kids when all of this took place on December 22nd.

Police released video of the horrific shooting in an attempt to capture the suspects. First a man dressed in all grey came into the store   purchasing an item, and then leaving. He returned to the driver’s side of his Honda, which was parked right in from. A few moments later, a second individual emerged from the passenger’s side dressed in all black. He covered his face with looked to be a black mask. He come into the store with a gun drawn. He reaches over the counter at Rodriguez before firing off a fatal shot.

Rodriguez is survived by her husband, Derrick Galan, and four children aged between seven years and just 5 months. Speaking with local news, Galan made a plea asking the public for help in identifying his wife’s killer and the supposed accomplice.

“She gave them the money. Why would he shoot her? That’s what I don’t understand. He saw the kids.”

“I need help, please. If somebody knows something, say something, please. What am I going to tell my kids now? The big one asked me all the time, ‘Where is my mother?’ He saw what happened, but he’s confused.”

On Friday, police arrested 29 Year-old man named Terrance Peterson in connection with the murder. They did not disclose whether he was suspected of being the gunman or the getaway driver.
