During the height of Roc-A-Fella Records, the label was filled with heavy-hitters. Among them was Beanie Sigel, the Broad Street Bully. Representing Philadelphia, Beans had his own State Property label.
Beanie Sigel had a special relationship with Jay-Z, which became complicated, years later. But, in the prime years, they had a close relationship. Back then, Jay-Z said Beanie could become a major star, if he was willing to change.
Recently, Beanie Sigel sat down with Oschino, a former member of State Property. He recently launched his own podcast, “Deeper Than Rap.” In this clip, Beanie Sigel and Oschino spoke on the game, how Jay-Z and the Roc-A-Fella execs received a $200,000 check, while they only received a $750 check.
