One week after the release of The Blueprint 3, Beanie Sigel sat down with Jenny Boom Boom to discuss the album. At the time, Beanie Sigel said he only heard a few tracks off the album, but he was impressed. Months after the official demise of Roc-A-Fella Records, Beanie Sigel said he understood why Jay-Z did what he did. With that being said, Beanie Sigel said he would continue to support Jay-Z.

However, towards the end of October 2009, Beanie Sigel released a song, which was directly aimed at Jay-Z. After the song leaked to the internet, Beanie Sigel said the song was not an open invitation for rappers to begin dissing Jay-Z. Beanie Sigel said the issue was nothing more than a brotherly fight. However, before the end of November 2009, 50 Cent had joined the feud, dissing Jay-Z repeatedly and Beanie Sigel was soon overlooked.

Beanie Sigel soon began dissing Memphis Bleek, T.I., and many other rappers who have relationships with Jay-Z. When he first dissed Jay-Z, Beanie Sigel received an endorsement from Game, who featured Beans on his long-awaited The R.E.D. Album. In the months since then, Beanie Sigel has remained out of the spotlight, however, Beanie Sigel recently performed at SXSW in Texas. Since then, Beanie Sigel has been making his media rounds, recently speaking in an interview about Jay-Z.

Recently, Beanie Sigel stated he only went after Jay-Z because it was the only way he could get to him, as he was not reaching out to him on a personal level. Beanie Sigel said they will always be brothers and they had a little misunderstanding. While Beanie Sigel no longer has issues with Jay-Z, he said the two have yet to speak, face-to-face.
