Benzino says Coi Leray’s career is based off of disrespecting him
Over the past two and a half years, Coi Leray and her father Benzino have had a very up and down relationship. Furthermore, Coi even dissed her father in her 2021 breakout hit single, “No More Parties,” where she said “My daddy let me down but I promise you I won’t let up. I wanna say f*** that man, but this s*** won’t make me better.”
Meanwhile, in a new interview with Tasha K, Benzino says that he’s been taking this abuse from Coi, for five years now. Moreover, he also explained how he didn’t approve of Republic Records executives being the ones to bring her to receive her long-awaited high school diploma, as Coi also delivered a commencement speech there.
However, Coi Leray has yet to speak on her father’s latest comments. While it’s unfortunate that their relationship is once again having issues, hopefully, they will finally be able to somehow repair it.
This latest development between Coi and Benzino also comes as Coi released two solid projects, this year. Those were her sophomore album “COI,” in the summer, as well as her “Blue Moon” EP, in August.
