Benzino says Coi Leray has a song with Nicki Minaj
Many know Benzino based on his work at The Source, as well as his appearances on “Love and Hip-Hop: Atlanta.” Everyone also soon found out that he’s the father of Coi Leray, who became one of the biggest breakout artists of 2021.
In a new Clubhouse conversation over the weekend, Benzino also dropped some big news, in regards to new more music from Coi. He announced that she and Nicki have recorded a collaboration, which is expected to appear on Coi’s upcoming debut studio album. This comes a year after Coi and Benzino were feuding.
“She got the song with Nicki Minaj that’s gonna be coming out that’s gonna be crazy,” Benzino explained.
Last month, Coi also put out her first single of 2022, “Anxiety.” She also went on to preview a new song that she has in the stash, with Chief Keef. Last week though, Coi took to Twitter to reveal that she is taking a break for herself, and doesn’t know when she will return.
“To all my trendsetters, I’m sorry I let you down. I don’t have it in me to keep pushing. I feel like I’m brain dead. I pray that everyone continues to keep setting trends and striving. Don’t know when I’ll be back but I don’t even want to think about it. I love you for life. -coi.”
Hopefully, Coi is in a better place now, and more music can be out soon. The release date for the album has yet to be revealed.
