Coming into the Grammys, there was a lot of anticipation. Everyone has enjoyed watching the rise of Cardi B and she made it all the way to the Grammys. Because of her success, many people felt that she would win an award.
Before the awards, Cardi B said being twice nominated and performing was win enough for her. Good that she felt that way, because Cardi B lost both of her nominations to Kendrick Lamar. Up for nine Grammys, himself, Jay-Z would also lose out to Kendrick.
After the snubs of Jay-Z, SZA, Cardi B, Khalid, Lil Uzi Vert, and all of the others, the urban community is speaking out. They are on Twitter, floating the idea of showing the BET Awards more support. Then, there are others who point out how the Image Awards and Soul Train Awards are always here, but no one shows them love.
