BET Awards reveals 2023 nominees

The annual BET Awards in Los Angeles is set to take place on June 25, at the Dolby Theatre. As a result, BET went on to reveal the full list of nominees for their 2023 awards show, on Thursday.

Drake leads the way with seven nominees, in total. Those categories include Album Of The Year, Best Male R&B/Pop Artist, Best Male Hip Hop Artist. Furthermore, GloRilla has the second most nominations for this year’s BET Awards, with six. The Memphis rapper is part of categories such as Album Of The Year, as well as Best Female Hip Hop Artist, and Best New Artist.

In the Best Female Hip-Hop Artist category, the star-studded nominees are Cardi B, Coi Leray, GloRilla, Ice Spice, Latto, Megan Thee Stallion, and Nicki Minaj. For Best Male Hip-Hop Artist, there will be a tough choice to select as a winner as well, as the choices are between 21 Savage, Drake, Future, J. Cole, Jack Harlow, Kendrick Lamar, and Lil Baby.

The R&B categories at the BET Awards are stacked, as well. In the Best Female R&B/Pop Artist lineup, the ladies selected here are Ari Lennox, Beyoncé, Coco Jones, H.E.R., Lizzo, SZA, and Tems. Best Male R&B/Pop Artists include Blxst, Brent Faiyaz, Burna Boy, Chris Brown, Drake, The Weeknd, and Usher.
