BET misspells Lionel Richie’s name while giving him Lifetime Achievement award
Last night, BET presented an overall great show that was the 2014 BET Awards and it celebrated everything urban entertainment. Without a doubt, most of the performers at the show were inspired by Lionel Richie. Given his legacy an abundance of hits, BET presented him with the Lifetime Achievement award.
A lot of jokes have surrounded BET since its inception, due to the management’s money-saving ways. In the end, a lot of people simply wrote BET off as a ghetto production, despite being owned by Viacom. Still, the biggest names in entertainment show support when it counts.
But, the BET jokes are given validation, at times, when they make mistakes in the worst ways possible. Misspelling someone’s name is a common mistake that many people, even TV networks make. However, most television networks make efforts to spell the names right of people who win Lifetime Achievement awards.
