Beyoncé and Jay Z, Partner With Tiffany and Co., to Donate $2 Million in Scholarships, to Various HBCUs
Beyoncé recently partnered with Tiffany & Co., as she became the first Black woman to wear their 128.54 carat Tiffany Diamond. This as they launched their “About Love” campaign, with the legendary jewelry brand.
Now, Jay and Bey are collaborating with Tiffany & Co., on their Love Scholarship program, in partnership with the BeyGOOD and the Shawn Carter Foundation, according to CNN. This is to help various HBCUs.
Tiffany & Co. will be donating $2 million in scholarships, to students in arts and creative majors. Among the schools that these will be available at, are Lincoln University, Norfolk State University, Bennett College, University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and Central State University.
“We would like to thank the Shawn Carter Foundation, BeyGOOD, The Carters and the Tiffany & Co. family for including Lincoln University in this amazing gift,” said Dr. Brenda A. Allen, president of Lincoln University, in a statement. “Lincoln has placed a high priority on supporting the arts and humanities on our campus. Providing financial support for students pursuing these majors enhances their ability to more fully engage their studies.”
Big salute to Beyoncé, Jay Z, and Tiffany & Co. for helping HBCUs in a major way like this. Many of these universities are amazing institutions to be at, and scholarship assistance such as this, help make them even better places to be at.
