Beyoncé helps Nigerian restaurant in London with donation

Beyoncé has always frequently given back to communities, especially to Black-owned business. This is the case overseas as well, as she helped a Nigerian restaurant in London remain open for business.

According to The Jasmine Brand, Beyoncé donated $10,191.64 to Chuku’s, which is located in North London. The restaurant had been behind its energy bills, as brother and sister Emeka and Ifeyinwa Frederik own this business. This was due to initial struggles of closures in the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, the two were among ten recipients of grants from Bey. Furthermore, this is as a result of Beyoncé’s foundation BeyGOOD donating $1 million to ten businesses worldwide.

Meanwhile, Beyoncé has been venturing on her Renaissance World Tour, as she kicked off her dates in Europe, this spring. Those recently wrapped up, as the North American dates will begin on July 8, in Toronto. The first US date of the Renaissance Tour will be held on July 12, in Philadelphia. This tour is in celebration of her “Renaissance” album, which was released last summer. That went on to become another number one studio album for her, as all of her projects have debuted at number one, in her career.
