Beyoncé opens “Renaissance” World Tour in Sweden
On Wednesday, the first concert of Beyoncé’s highly anticipated “Renaissance” World Tour. This was held in Stockholm, Sweden, as Bey is beginning the tour, across Europe.
Beyoncé delivered an electric performance, as she performed many of her classic hits, including from her latest “Renaissance” album. As a result, these included “Virgo’s Groove,” “Diva,” “Formation,” “Cuff It,” and much more.
Beyoncé initially confirmed the Renaissance World Tour, on February 1. Back in the fall, there’d been speculation that a tour was in the works, and did end up being finalized.
The tour comes after Bey’s Renaissance album was released in July, and debuted at number one in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart. It also marked Bey’s seventh straight number one studio album. However, even with the world tour starting, fans are still hoping that some visuals from the album will finally be released. The first single off of Renaissance was “Break My Soul,” as Beyoncé experimented with EDM/dance flows, as and also did so on various records on Renaissance. Furthermore, she even went on to win a Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic album.
