Beyoncé reaches platinum eligibility with “Cowboy Carter” album

Over the last two months, Beyoncé has been dominating with her “Cowboy Carter” album. She tapped into the country genre on this project, which was led by the “16 Carriages” and the Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping Texas Hold ‘Em” single.

Furthermore, Cowboy Carter contained 27 songs, including many other star-studded features. Those included Post Malone, Miley Cyrus, Willie Nelson, and more. As a result, the album went on to debut atop the Billboard 200 chart, and had the biggest number one debut of the year, with over 400,000 units. Therefore, the album sat at that number one spot, for two straight weeks. Beyoncé was also the first female artist to debut at number one on Billboard 200 chart with her first eight solo albums.

Meanwhile, Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter has reached another major milestone. It has now been certified platinum by the RIAA in the US, after selling over 1 million units, per Chart Data.

Lately, there have also been rumors of Beyoncé possibly venturing on a Cowboy Carter Tour. This comes after posting a ticket stub of her The Mrs. Carter Show Tour, from 2013, to her website. However, Bey has yet confirm this, as this comes after she ventured on he historic Renaissance World Tour, in 2023.
