Beyonce sells 430,000 copies of new album in 24 hours

Yesterday morning, fans woke up to a new album from Beyonce that had previously not been mentioned. Two years passed since Beyonce last released an album, although she started 2013 off with a new single. But, Beyonce made music history with the release of a new album no one saw coming.

Coming with the new album, which is self-titled, Beyonce has a video for every song off the project. All of the videos have hit the internet and they were released to much fanfare. The videos were packaged into Beyonce’s iTunes version of the album, which has sold well.

Initial first week projections had Beyonce selling 250,000 copies. But, the first day has proven to be much more critical for Beyonce, as her sales have exceeded all the expectations. Despite not having backing from a major company to push sales, like Jay-Z, Beyonce has shown her star power and sold 430,000 copies in her first day, let alone the first week.
