Last week, Beyoncé put out her highly anticipated country album, “Cowboy Carter.” 27 songs were released, including collaborations with Post Malone, Miley Cyrus, Willie Nelson, and more. Moreover, this project was led by singles such as “16 Carriages,” as well as the Billboard 100 chart-topping “Texas Hold ‘Em.”
Meanwhile, Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter is set for a huge first week in sales. According to Chart Data, it’s on its way to debuting at number one in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart. This would be as a result of selling a whopping 403,000 units in its first week. Furthermore, this would be the biggest debut for any album of 2024, so far. Every studio album of Beyonce’s career has reached this milestone, so far.
Second on this week’s Billboard 20 would be Future and Metro Boomin’s “We Don’t Trust You” album, with 130,000 units. This project initially debuted at number one, last week.
Beyoncé initially announced her Cowboy Carter album, in early February. That was done after airing her Verizon Super Bowl commercial. Moreover, that was also the same night that she put out her 16 Carriages and Texas Hold ‘Em singles.
