Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” is No. 1 album in US for second week
To close out the month of March, Beyonce delivered her highly anticipated country album, “Cowboy Carter.” 27 songs were released, which were led by singles such as “16 Carriages” and the Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping “Texas Hold ’Em.” Moreover, Beyoncé also collaborated with Miley Cyrus, Post Malone, Willie Nelson, and more.
As a result, Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter went on to see a number one debut in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart. That came after selling a massive 418,000 units in its first week, as that was also the biggest number one debut of 2024, so far.
Meanwhile, Cowboy Carter is also now the number one album in the US, for a second straight week. This comes as a result of selling 125,000 units in this second week, per Chart Data.
Cowboy Carter also became Beyoncé’s second studio album, within the last two years. Her previous one was “Renaissance,” in the summer of 2022. That also debuted atop the Billboard 200, as every studio album in her career has reached this milestone. 2023 also saw Bey venture on her Renaissance Tour, which earned a massive $580 million.
