Big Boi is headed for divorce, as his wife hires Usher’s divorce attorney

Marriages have been suffering from divorce since the 1980s and have skyrocketed in the past twenty years. Imagine how bad they suffer in the entertainment industry if the average people can’t even get it right. Especially in cities such as Atlanta, marriages don’t last too long and Big Boi looks like the latest victim.

Outkast has always received a lot of praise for being so different from the other figures in hip hop. One major plus for them is that Big Boi was unlike the womanizing rappers in the game, he was a happily married man. Few rappers can say that and apparently Big Boi hasn’t been able to say that for a while.

Big Boi, real name Antwon A. Patton, married his wife, Sherlita Patton, in 2002. But, according to the court documents, the couple is legally separated. Citing the marriage as “irretrievably broken,” Mrs. Patton filed a divorce complaint in the Fulton County superior courts and has hired Usher’s divorce attorney.
