Tonight, Big Boi started trending on Twitter, and with the way 2020 is going, people didn’t know whether to celebrate or worry. The good news is that Big Boi is doing just fine. On the other hand, it is a sad time when the people making Big Boi trend have no idea who he is.

Emerging on the scene, as one half of Outkast, in 1994, Big Boi helped keep the South on the map, alongside Andre 3000. These two put Atlanta on the map, opening the door for what currently exists. To top it all off, Big Boi remains relevant, alongside the younger generation.

When the hip hop world saw Big Boi trending, and it had nothing to do with Big Boi, they were upset. Calling out the people using the “Big Boi” phrase for being too young, the dragging began. The trend has now been hijacked to celebrate the living Atlanta legend, along with using a meme of him to say this is the only “Big Boi” they acknowledge.
