As he stated during his interview with Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club,” Big Boi has more than enough money. Recording his new album, Big Boi did not put it together to go platinum. The goal was for maximum success, but Big Boi was more focused on putting good music out.

Reviews are coming in for Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors and the album is being met with positive reviews. Critics love the album, but Big Boi will have to wait before the official results are in, regarding sales. As good of a year as 2012 was for hip hop, record sales continue to decline.

Game had a high-profile album release with Jesus Piece. Even with the promotion behind his album, Game is only expected to move 80,000 copies, best case scenario, and that is down dramatically from the disappointing sales of his last album. Big Boi’s projections are also rather disappointing, as the veteran emcee is projected to sell somewhere between 25,000 and 30,000 copies in his first week.
