Until Outkast, the South was not getting their proper respect in the overall hip hop game. Being fair, Houston already had Scarface and the Geto Boys, but Outkast opened the door to Atlanta. Two and a half decades later, Atlanta has proven to be fertile ground.

Outkast is made up by Andre 3000 and Big Boi, who have made major moves over the years. As solo artists, both are considered among the all-time greats in music. However, Big Boi has more of a history as being a solo artist.

Big Boi stopped by “The Breakfast Club,” where he spoke with DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God. During the interview, Big Boi spoke on his new music, including hisĀ Boomiverse album that dropped last week. While there, Big Boi also spoke on some of his business ventures.
