Mixtapes is where it all started for Big K.R.I.T. Releasing mixtapes on top of each other, the Mississippi rapper eventually caught the attention of Def Jam. Big K.R.I.T. signed with Def Jam in 2010 and the wait began for his album release. Last summer, the debut album from Big K.R.I.T. finally came.

There has been no word on when Big K.R.I.T.’s next album is due. But, Big K.R.I.T. has never been one to wait on the label. Instead, he goes back in the studio and puts out more new music. Big K.R.I.T. recently began working on his new mixtape, the partially self-titled, K.R.I.T. (King Remembered in Time).

Over the weekend, there was quite a bit of talk about Big K.R.I.T. and his upcoming mixtape. Releasing the artwork for the project, many began to ponder when the actual tape would be delivered. Big K.R.I.T. revealed this tape will be due in two days, on April 10.
