Big Scarr’s father thanks Gucci Mane and Atlantic Records

On Monday, Gucci Mane was trending due to rumors that he backed out of paying for his 1017 Records artist Big Scarr’s funeral. However, Gucci’s wife Keyshia Ka’oir debunked that, by posting receipts of $20,000 in total, being paid for. That came as a result of Scarr’s sister made false claims, and downplayed the $10k deposit being any significant sum of money.

Despite Scarr’s sister proving to be ungrateful, Scarr’s father is showing more grace. He has taken to social media to post a video, where he thanked Gucci and Atlantic Records for covering the funeral expenses. Gucci and Atlantic each put in $10,000.

Therefore, Scarr’s father added that he can’t allow people to disrespect Gucci and Atlantic like this, after the generosity they showed. Scarr’s father went on to pay for the rest of the funeral costs. Scarr passed last month, after an apparent prescription pain medicine overdose.

“I can’t let y’all throw dude under the bus like that. C’mon now, the truth is the truth, man,” Scarr’s father explained. “I gave nobody permission to do that. I covered the rest. I appreciate that, big time. Certain things were said that shouldn’t have been said. It was wrong. Man-to-man, I wish someone would’ve just dialed my number and talked to your guy, 100. All this out of control. Gucci and them the best thing to ever happen to my son.”
