Currently, Big Sean is one of the biggest rappers in the game. Holding his own, in a subtle manner, against the likes of Drake, Meek Mill, French Montana, Wale, and more, as far as relative newcomers go, Big Sean is doing well. In 2007, Kanye West signed the Detroit rapper to G.O.O.D. Music, which took the form of a crew earlier this year.
With G.O.O.D. Music being transformed into a crew, Big Sean has risen to the forefront, as other members include Pusha T and 2 Chainz. Kanye West is, obviously, the captain of this team, but Big Sean is the star player. Recently, Big Sean was in Los Angeles, presumably for the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards. During this period of time, he stopped by Power 106.
The second part of their interview, Big Sean recited the verse he performed for Kanye West at the radio station, which landed him his record deal. In addition to reciting the verse, Big Sean explained exactly why he raps. Praised by many for his lyrical ability, he has received doubt and subliminal disses from the likes of Lupe Fiasco and Ludacris.
