On Monday, it was made official that Naya Rivera had drowned at Lake Piru in Ventura County, CA. This is while she was during a trip with her four-year-old son. He was found sleeping on the boat they rented at the time that people realized she disappeared. From that point, a five-day search began.
Rivera, who is best known as an actress mostly notably for appearing in the series ‘Glee,’ from 2009-2015, has since been receiving an outpour of tributes from all over social media. Big Sean, who was his fiancée briefly back in 2013, is finally breaking his silence on her passing.
“Rest In Peace Naya, God Bless your Soul! Thank you for blessing us all with your talent and presence. you are a hero!” the rapper wrote. “Not just because of how you saved your son, also because of the barriers you knocked down for so many people to make them feel confident in themselves and to stand tall and be proud when they couldn’t achieve that on their own. I appreciate and cherish everything that ever happened between us for making me wiser and a better person.”
The Detroit rapper added how he’s still grieving and in shock regarding the situation. He continues to pray for Rivera’s family and is watching and protecting them. The two dated snd got engaged in 2013 but ended up splitting in 2014, where she went on to get married to actor, Ryan Dorsey, that year.
