The BIG3 has been going strong for four summers now, as they continue to bring in former NBA players and other great basketball players in nationwide. Ice Cube founded the league, in 2017.
This weekend, the BIG3 is scheduled to go to Chicago, on the University of Chicago-Illinois campus. Hometown star, G Herbo was scheduled to perform at halftime, but now, that performance is unfortunately canceled.
The BIG3 left a statement on social media, explaining how UIC ordered them to cancel this performance, that was set to take place at UIC Pavilion, on Saturday. They added that if they didn’t scrap Herbo, the BIG3 games wouldn’t go on either.
The league also expressed how confused they are about this situation, since Herbo performed at Lollapalooza in Chicago, last week. Nonetheless, they are still excited about the upcoming weekend of BIG3 games.
Last month, Herbo also delivered his fourth studio album, “25.” It debuted at number five on the Billboard 200 chart, and was led by singles such as “Statement” and “Really Like That/Break Yoself.”
