Birdman brings BG home from prison after 14 year stint

Birdman faced a lot of scrutiny, as an executive, but he explained his decisions. To have come from where he came from, he has done an impressive job. As the head of Cash Money Records, Birdman has generated billions of dollars. Over the span of thirty years, he has overseen hits from the likes of Juvenile, Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, and countless others. B.G. was among those people, but he went to prison in 2009. Today, he was freed, and Birdman was there to pick him up.

Birdman overcame incredible odds to become the man he is. When it comes to his business, he said he named his company Cash Money Records, because all of his deals were paid out in cash. In addition, he said when he signed the deal with Universal, they paid him in cash. However, there were tons of artists who said they were never properly paid. At a time when people are selling their masters and their publishing, Birdman is still making cash deals.

Birdman, for a time, was embroiled in a high profile feud with B.G. However, when Birdman lost his sister, B.G. paid his respects. After all, they began as friends, and it was the business that tore their relationship apart. Before his prison stint, there were rumors of B.G. joining T.I.’s Grand Hustle label. In the end, the deal never materialized. After fourteen years, B.G. is now a free man. There to pick him up was Birdman, and they shared laughs and hugs.
