Birdman has been making headlines for his appearance on the Big Facts podcast this week, and has addressed several topics. These include why he kissed Lil Wayne, accomplishing more than Jay Z, and how much money he paid Nicki Minaj, Wayne & Drake.
In one of the segments, Birdman says that he inked a Cash Money deal with Universal, and gave Nicki, Wayne & Drake hundreds of millions of dollars out of his pocket. Wayne received about $400-$500 million, Drake received about $500 mill, and Nicki got between $300-$400 mill.
“When Universal gave me a bag, brother, I can honestly say I gave Wayne about $400-500 million, Drake got about $500 million, and Nicki got about $300-400 million out of my pocket,” he said. “No cap. You don’t believe me? Ask them.”
Birdman is definitely one of the wealthiest moguls in the music industry, as has been the case for several decades now. This was definitely evident, in getting Drake, Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne these huge bags. None of them are signed to his label anymore, though.
