Back in 2014, Lil Wayne abruptly announced he was no longer working with Cash Money Records. Soon, lawsuits began flying and Wayne was suing the label for $50 million. This is the money Wayne said he was owed to record Tha Carter V, his long-awaited album.

Starting in 2008, Lil Wayne became the biggest rapper in the game, and dropped a new album every year, between then and 2014. These albums included compilations with Young Money. The roster of the label also saw Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Tyga score hits.

Birdman and Lil Wayne have definitely been at odds, but looked close to reconciling, a couple of years ago. Things appear official, this time, and Ebro talked to Birdman on Beats 1 Radio, about it. During that interview, Birdman spoke on the familial relationship and said “he deserve that, so Imma give it to him,” sounding as if he will finally pay him.
