Birdman tells Lil Uzi Vert he wants to be on Barter 16 album
Lil Uzi Vert is already working on his second album of 2023, which is “Barter 16.” The title is named after Young Thug’s “Barter 6” album from 2015, and even recreated the cover art to resemble Thug’s project.
Meanwhile, videos of Uzi working on Barter 16 in the studio are also now going viral. Furthermore, this also includes Birdman being in one of these studio sessions. Here, he’s seen speaking to Uzi and expressing interest in appearing on the project.
“I wanna be on some of them songs, man,” Birdman said. “We can make that s*** pop.”
However, Uzi didn’t have a clear answer to this request, as many on social media believed that it was an awkward encounter. Some felt that Uzi didn’t want this collaboration to happen.
Barter 16 comes after Uzi released his highly anticipated “Pink Tape” album, in June. 26 songs were available, including collaborations with Nicki Minaj, Travis Scott and Don Toliver. As a result, Pink Tape also debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, and became the first rap album released in 2023 to hit this mark. Uzi will also be venturing on his Pink Tape Tour, this fall. This kicks off on October 24, in Minneapolis, MN.
