Black woman beaten and tased in Philly for not having bus fare
Yesterday morning, a Black woman was trying to get on the bus. She was at the Frankfurt Transportation Center in Philadelphia. The woman did not have enough money for bus fare. As a result, the Frankfurt Transportation Center cops humiliated her.
When the woman tried to board the bus, the driver refused to let her on. The reason the woman was denied entry was over her bus fare. With only $2, the woman did not have enough money to board the bus. At worst, the woman should have been prevented from getting on the bus.
Instead, the woman wound up being assaulted. The bus driver turned her over to the Frankfurt Transportation Center cops. While they are hired to help, the cops did more harm than good. Clearly, the woman was in need of help. Despite knowing this, the Frankfurt Transportation Center cops began beating and tasering the woman. The beating became so bad that the woman was seen with her pants almost off. Witnesses saw the woman pulling her pants back up after the brutal beating. Now, the city of Philadelphia is being called out.
