Boban is killing the mid-range game and Allen Iverson and Dikembe Mutombo are loving it! #HereTheyCome #NBAPlayoffs

The last time the Philadelphia 76ers were regarded as contenders, those two guys were leading the team. On the right is Allen Iverson, who had the MVP season, in 2001. To his left is Dikembe Mutombo, the veteran center who provided Philly the big man they needed.
In 2001, Iverson’s Sixers won 56 games and played in the NBA Finals, losing to Shaq and Kobe’s Lakers. That run was followed by a slow decline that became #TrustTheProcess. But, that process birthed last year’s 52-30 squad, led by Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, and JJ Redick
This core has done what even Iverson couldn’t do, which is give multiple 50 win seasons to Philly. In their second straight playoff appearance, the Sixers are playing the Nets, who stunned them in Game 1. Tonight, Boban Marjanović is doing his thing, and Iverson and Mutombo, plus Twitter, are loving it.
