Being a teenager is among the hardest things a person ever has to do, as this stage in life is the transition from being a child into being an adult. It is during the teenage years when children act out, becoming distant or hostile to parents, acting out, and sometimes even wanting to die. However, when a person loses a parent during this period of time, the struggle is so much harder.

Bobbi Kristina Brown, on the outside looking in, has lived the life most girls her age would dream of. Both of her parents are R&B royalty, and very rich. The downside came because of her parents’ drug use and the media attention which surrounded this. Ever since the day she was born, Bobbi Kristina has been in the middle of a media frenzy.

In 2011, Bobbi Kristina appeared to be heading down the same path as her parents, getting into public fights, drinking, and rumored to be using drugs. It was said that both Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston had sat her down and warned her of the consequences. Throughout most of 2011, Bobbi Kristina remained out of the headlines, but saw an unfortunate return four days ago.

Often times, teenagers complain about how bad their lives are. At the age of eighteen, Bobbi Kristina Brown has lost her mother and the cause of the death has yet to be explained. After being rushed to the hospital twice since the death of her mother, it was reported that Janet Jackson has been spending time with Bobbi Kristina, comforting her.

In unrelated news, a letter was written to Bobbi Kristina and posted on Global Grind.

Read the letter to Bobbi Kristina below:

“Dear Bobbi Kristina,

I can’t begin to understand what you’re going through right now. Your  emotions must be more overwhelming than anyone can even fathom.

While most of what everyone is seeing in the news is regarding your mother,  we still see your struggle as well.

My heart dropped when I saw the news of your iconic mother’s passing, but it  sank more when I heard you were in and out of the hospital as well.

Like millions of others, I consider your mother to be the greatest singer  this world has ever heard.

My grandparents live in Maine, and every year when I go visit them, I pass by  the same pond Whitney skated on while filming for The Preacher’s Wife.  It was a family tradition to play some of her songs in the car on the ride up.  It was during that time I instantly fell in love with her incredible voice.

Bobbi, you are the beautiful child of two music legends, with that, comes  pressure. People are already starting to compare you to your mother, but that  shouldn’t be a burden to you.

Everything you do from now on, will only add to the amazing legacy your  mother has already laid down.

From your beautiful voice you share with your parents, to your smile that you  got from your mother!

You were the light to Whitney’s life and we always had the feeling you were  your mother’s very own superhero.

It’s impossible for any fan or friend to understand your loss, but I want you  to know we’re all here rooting for you!

You don’t have to be a Bobby Brown or Whitney Houston to prove anything to  anybody. Just be yourself.

You can be your own Bobbi Kristina, the torch has been passed down to you to  do as you see fit! It’s time to show the world who you are and what you are made  of!

I truly wish the best for you Bobbi, and I know you can will overcome this  horribletragedy. You really are an inspiration to me…just like your mother. I look  forward to you being Bobbi Brown.

Sincerely,

Lindsey Paul”
