During the summer of 2014, Bobby Shmurda enjoyed breakout success and took the game over. In many ways, he was the Fetty Wap a year before Fetty Wap gained fame. Unfortunately, Bobby Shmurda didn’t have the success that Fetty Wap enjoyed.

Bobby Shmurda had street ties that left him in prison, just when his music was taking off. Sadly, this came just after Bobby Shmurda was signed by Epic Records. Emerging as the most vocal person to help the rapper was 50 Cent, demanding his label free him.

Early this morning, Bobby Shmurda’s friend, Santino Broderick, got his sentence. He was sentenced to 117 years in prison, which says enough all by itself. Reportedly, he told the judge where he could stick his sentence and Gilbert Arenas, a former NBA star, spoke out, saying dude wasn’t loyal, he was dumb.
