Bobby Shmurda Has Officially Been Released From Prison After Serving Almost Seven Years; Gets Picked Up in Private Jet [VIDEO]

Bobby Shmurda has been incarcerated since December 2014 as last month, it was revealed that he’d be eligible for conditional release in February. The Brooklyn rapper’s mother and Rowdy Rebel also confirmed that he would be home on February 23.
Now, Shmurda is finally a free man again. The New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision database now states that he has been “released.” Bobby’s crew and Quavo ended up picking him up from prison in a private jet, which definitely seems fitting to this ending. He was officially released closed to 8:30am today, per TMZ. Videos were soon seen of him on FaceTime with loved ones.
From this point until 2026, Shmurda “will serve the remainder of his sentence under community supervision until his maximum expiration date of February 23, 2026.”
Shmurda was originally charged in 2014 with conspiracy, reckless endangerment and weapons, conspiracy in the second degree, three counts of conspiracy in the third degree, reckless endangerment in the second degree, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree and one count of criminal possession of drug paraphernalia. He ended up taking a plea deal in September 2016 by pleading guilty to guilty to one count of third-degree conspiracy and one count of weapons possession. Shmurda was originally set to finish his sentence until December 2021 but was released early for good behavior and completing prison programs.
Shmurda originally broke out as a star in 2014 with the release of his “Hot N*gga” single. That was one of the hottest records in the country as it peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
