The coronavirus pandemic has affected different industries in the worst ways but the music industry has definitely felt the affects as far as artists and concerts go. The fear of the spread of the virus has caused venues to temporarily close and therefore, this puts a dent in many artists’ income, especially for rappers.

Boosie Badazz recently spoke with VladTV and one of the topics was rappers missing out on this show money due to the pandemic. The Louisiana rapper explained how even in 360 deals, labels can’t touch the artists revenue from these shows. He added that during this crazy situation in the world, artists may end up deciding to go back to dealing drugs in the streets to make up for these lost funds.

Boosie also emphasized that the trap is jumping right now but it’s up to these artists to decide if they want to risk going to jail. Sadly, many think about this route. Hopefully, a lot of rappers have saved their money and they won’t have to be in this situation. Music streams are another means of income for rappers but these may not do big numbers compared to others. Hopefully, the pandemic slows down soon so we can all get back to making moves and handling our business as usual. We all miss concerts tremendously and we can go back to making memories at these events again sometime this year.
