Boosie walked out of The Color Purple calling it a gay love story
Boosie made it clear how he feels about the LGBTQ+ community. His comments about Lil Nas X, alone, prove that. However, Boosie has also made it clear he has no issues with the community. Many were shocked when they heard him playing Nas X’s music. But Boosie continues to say he doesn’t like the narrative being pushed. When he went to see The Color Purple, he felt it was being pushed. As a result, he ended up walking out of the movie with his daughter.
Boosie never shied away from being one of the most outspoken people in hip hop. The antics he was doing on social media led to Instagram banning several of his accounts. However, this opened the door for VladTV to cash in. As a result, Boosie has become the most frequent and most popular guest on that platform. When he goes on there, he talks about every topic imaginable. Among the topics was his own daughter coming out.
Boosie recently offered commentary on the new version of The Color Purple. Many people have overlooked that this is the film version of the play. As a result, this movie is more of a musical than it is a remake of the original film. That wasn’t necessarily the problem that Boosie had with the movie. But that is the complaint that most people have had with it. Instead, Boosie said he felt the movie was portraying a “gay love story.” He felt that was a bad look for his other daughter, so they left.
