Boyz II Men gets dragged by NFL fans after singing national anthem in 49ers gear, even though they’re from Philadelphia #GBvsSF #NFCChampionship

It was a pleasant yet welcomed surprise to see legendary R&B group Boyz II Men sing the national anthem ahead of the NFC championship game between the 49ers and Packers. Soon after their rendition of the song, the group started to trend on Twitter. While their performance was a great and soulful take on the national anthem, the boyz were trending for a whole other reason.
Fans took notice that the group was wearing 49ers gear while singing. This caused some confusion given how the Boyz II Men members are from Philadelphia. Sports fan in Philly definitely appreciate this move. Boyz II Men have long been known to exclusively sing for sports events in Philadelphia. So it’s somewhat funny to see them draped in San Francisco gear. Heck it was surprising to see them there in a different city and stadium to sing at all.
