Brandy paid homage to Whitney Houston on her birthday, this morning, and then goes on an Instagram rant about not being petty, and shades Monica [PHOTO]

Hard to believe, but it’s been five years since Whitney Houston died, so tragically. At the height of her career, Whitney Houston was R&B’s queen. When the 1990s came, it was clear her successor would be either her protégé, Brandy, Monica, or Aaliyah.

The tension between Brandy and Monica is well-noted, in spite of their collaborations. However, what went overlooked was her and Aaliyah’s friction. A few weekends ago, a songwriter who had issues with Brandy shared an interview where Aaliyah spoke on the Brandy beef.

Now, Brandy has paid homage to Whitney Houston on her birthday. A comment from The Jasmine Brand on her post led to a rant. After being called “petty,” Brandy showed how petty she could be. Definitely, she had time today, and she went on a rant that has Twitter still talking, as she went after Monica again.
