During the weekend, Brandy performed at the Soulquarius concert with other stars of the 1990s and 2000s. Those present who also performed include R. Kelly, Ja Rule, Mya, and many others. Of course, Brandy was also present.
Since doing “The Boy Is Mine” with Monica, in 1998, there have been rumors of Brandy and Monica having beef. In 2011, they put these rumors to rest when they made appearances together. This span of time even saw a new record from them, but the rumors persist.
As recently as the Soul Train Awards, Brandy and Monica were rumored to have beef. However, Monica has made several friendly Instagram posts celebrating her and Brandy’s work and accomplishments. Now, after performing Soulquarius, Brandy was asked by a fan if she’d perform with Monica and Brandy said she was all for it.
