Brent Faiyaz’s “Wasteland” debuts at number two on Billboard 200

A week ago, Brent Faiyaz finally released his second studio album, “Wasteland.” This project was led by Brent’s “Wasting Time” single with Drake and The Neptunes, which was released last summer.

Brent treated fans to 19 songs on Wasteland, which included multiple skits. Brent also collaborated with other stars such as Alicia Keys and Tyler, The Creator. After Wasteland’s release, it was initially projected to battle for a number one debut, with Bad Bunny’s “Un Verano Sin Ti” album.

Now, the first week numbers are coming  in, for Brent’s Wasteland album. According to Chart Data, it will have a number two rebut in the US, with 100,000 units sold. Bad Bunny remained on top again, with 104,000 units.

Wasteland was Brent’s first project, since he released his “F*ck The World” EP, back in February 2020. Brent remains a fan favorite in R&B, as listeners believe that he is like Future, of R&B. Based on Wasteland’s first week success, fans are still very much into Brent, after a lengthy hiatus. It’s also hoped that Wasteland’s momentum and success will soon turn into a nationwide tour announcement soon.
