Bronny James declares himself eligible for the 2024 NBA Draft
Bronny James endured his fair share of hardship, as he pursues his career. Earlier this week, Bronny faced much backlash for entering the NCAA transfer portal. Now, he’s declared for the NBA Draft, where speculation has already begun about where he’s heading. With his father, LeBron James, showing no signs of retirement, the two will likely be in the league together. Heavy speculation says LeBron will join whichever team drafts Bronny.
Bronny James is LeBron James’ oldest son and he’s followed in his father’s footsteps. Also, his younger brother, Bryce James, is a rising basketball star. The expectations for Bronny have been higher than the actual level of play he’s displayed. Despite being the son of a star, the output Bronny has displayed shows him as more of a role player. While there’s nothing wrong with that, because he carries the James name, there’s some who’d expect more from him.
Bronny James still has people making fun of him entering the transfer portal. The jokes center around his move being similar to LeBron James’ “The Decision” in 2010. Back then, LeBron made the controversial decision to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers and join the Miami Heat. Fans said Bronny was going to follow that mold of leaving teams to win titles. Just as those jokes have begun to settle, Bronny declared for the NBA Draft. Now, speculation is what team LeBron will join him on.
