Brooklyn designer found dead in home, scarf wrapped around neck

A Brooklyn-based fashion designer, Svitlana Indelicato, was found dead in her Bensonhurst home this week. Law enforcement sources revealed this information on Friday. Indelicato, 50, was known for designing handbags, scarves, and Pashmina shawls. She was discovered unconscious and unresponsive by her husband around 5 a.m. Thursday.

According to sources, a scarf was wrapped around her neck when she was found in a room inside the residence on 80th Street near 16th Avenue. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) workers arrived at the scene and pronounced Indelicato dead. Thus, the investigation is underway.

The NYPD described her injuries as “trauma” to the neck. No arrests have been made, and the city’s medical examiner’s office will officially determine the cause of death. Furthermore, there is outrage about the continued crime in NYC.

Not only is their violence in the rougher neighbors, but also the wealthier neighborhood are proving to be havens for crime. As a result, New York city continues to make headlines for the wrong reasons.

Indelicato sold her designs, including bags and scarves, through her Etsy shops VitalTemptation and ScarfObsession. Her unexpected death has left the community in shock as authorities continue their investigation.
