Sheff G has been making a name for himself in NYC over the last few years, as one of the hottest drill rappers in Brooklyn, according to DJ Akademiks. Sheff is now running into legal woes, as he was recently arrested on July 15. This was for criminal possession of a weapon, which is a second-degree felony in the state of New York.
Sheff has since been booked into Otis Bantum Correction Center in East Elmhurst, New York. No bail is available for him, and will remain in jail until at least August 18. That’s when Sheff will find out if he is able to post bond.
Back in January, Sheff faced a gun case as well. Then, he was charged with illegal gun possession, after a.45 caliber handgun was found on him during a traffic stop.
“We will vigorously defend these charges,” said Sheff’s attorney, Mitchell Elman. “I have no further comment at this time.”
Last month, Sheff put out his new “Start Some Shyt” single. His last project came in 2020, with his “Proud Of Me Now” mixtape. That contained 11 tracks, which included a collab with Sleepy Hallow.
