This Memorial Day Weekend began with sad news for NBA fans and fans of the New Orleans Pelicans. Their backup point guard, Bryce DeJean-Jones was murdered in Dallas, following a promising rookie season. Most pundits felt his potential was very high.
Unfortunately, Bryce DeJean-Jones played his last game for the Pels following a disappointing season for them. Very likely, they will have tributes for him in their upcoming season. Now, there is an update to the story.
Reports have stated Bryce DeJean-Jones was forcing entry into an apartment to locate his girlfriend. While this is true, only part of the story is told, as Jones’ girlfriend and mother of his child, moved into a new apartment complex that he was not familiar with. Going to the right apartment number, but on the wrong floor, Jones only tried to break in when he did not get an answer, which then led to him being shot and killed.
