Budweiser Puts The Notorious B.I.G. on “The Notorious B.I.G. Tall Boy” Beer Cans, Which Can Only Be Bought in His Hometown of NYC

The Notorious B.I.G. is regarded by many worldwide as one of the greatest rappers to ever do it. March marked 24 years since he was shot and killed in Los Angeles, after The Source Awards. Biggie was also just 24-years-old at the time. March also saw the release of the Biggie Netflix documentary, “I Got A Story To Tell.”
Now, Biggie is being honored in a big way by Budweiser, one of the most popular beer brands in the world. They recently launched edition beer cans of theirs, which features The Notorious B.I.G. on the cover. On social media, Budweiser said “The King of Beers meets The King of New York. Found only in N.Y.C. the home of B.I.G. #BudXBiggie”
Biggie’s mother, Voletta Wallace, also had high praise for Budweiser honoring her late son like this. She says that this was a move that she’s happy with, and emphasized how how important’s Biggie’s legacy is to her.
“I am honored to know that a brand such as Budweiser wanted to celebrate my son in this way,” said Wallace to HipHopDX. “Christopher’s legacy and brand value is extremely important to myself and the family and memorializing him on the can of an iconic beer brand as Budweiser is something I believe he would be happy with.”
Merchandise for this Budweiser and Biggie collab is also available at ShopBeerGear.com. In addition to this, on August 19, Budweiser will have their Brooklyn’s Prospect Park Bandshell concert. This is a Biggie tribute, and will feature performances by Busta Rhymes, Lil Kim, The Lox, and will be DJed by DJ Steph Cakes.
