Recently, the company broke the news that 400 locations across the upper East Coast and Midwest were closing. Despite that news, Burger King is reporting growth at the scale of 8.7%.

Burger King is a staple in the American culture and is often name-dropped. While McDonald’s is easily the most iconic fast food restaurant in America, Burger King definitely has a place. Often, people debate about which of the two restaurants has the best burger. Due to their competitive nature, the two companies are often compared, alongside other fast food locales.

Burger King recently reported they are closing 400 of their restaurants. Included in this is one franchisee who is under performing. None of this is bad news, however, as the company is performing well. To that end, they are reporting 8.7% growth. So the closing of the locations is more to scale the company and position it for higher profits in the future. In addition, they are improving older locations with remodels.
