Quite a few people blamed Busta Rhymes for DJ Khaled proposing to Nicki Minaj the way he did on national television. Nicki Minaj shot with Busta Rhymes last week for their music video, “Twerk It.” In the video, Nicki Minaj dances on DJ Khaled and the look on his face said it all.
From there, DJ Khaled was on MTV proposing to Nicki Minaj and he immediately became the biggest hip hop story. As the story ballooned with rumors of a restraining order and more, Busta Rhymes was forgotten. All is well, because Busta Rhymes got his chance to shine.
Busta Rhymes sat down with Sway Calloway for MTV’s “RapFix Live” and several topics were open for discussion. Among the topics touched upon was DJ Khaled proposing to Nicki Minaj. Clearly, not all of YMCMB was privy to what was going on, as Busta Rhymes said he thought Khaled was serious.
