This year, the Carolina Panthers enjoyed a magical season. Some were beginning to compare the 2016 Panthers to the 2014-15 Golden State Warriors. However, the Panthers were a slightly more successful version of the 2014-15 Atlanta Hawks.
Cam Newton still had a special breakout season and nothing can take away from that. In only his fifth season, Cam Newton has won the MVP award and played in the Super Bowl. His Super Bowl debut happened to feature a Beyonce concert.
But, as a competitor who is passionate about the game, Cam Newton is obviously disappointed in coming up short. After having a season like the one he and his team had, for it to end like this is hard to put into words. When the media tried to make him do it, Cam Newton frustratingly walked off.
