Cam’ron talks “Boss of all Bosses 3” and New Solo Album
After a two-year break, The Diplomats reunited late in the summer of 2009. The crew had been divided between Cam’ron and Jim Jones. While both rappers still were co-CEOs of Diplomat Records, they had severed ties. On his end, Cam’ron had recruited Vado and had started his own movement, while Jim Jones was fully developing his own Byrd Gang label.
However, following two years of separation, the two decided to reunite. The Diplomats reunited and began recording mixtapes together. After flooding the streets, the crew began searching for a record deal. In the post-Roc-A-Fella history of Diplomat Records, all the artists had deals with various labels.
During the summer of 2010, Diplomat Records was rumored to have reached an exclusive deal with Interscope Records. While Cam’ron began working with Eminem and Dr. Dre, the Interscope deal was later revealed to only include Vado. With Boss of all Bosses 3 on the way, Cam’ron revealed he is searching for a label to release it under and is strongly considering Interscope Records.
As Cam’ron and Vado put the finishing touches on Boss of all Bosses 3, Cam’ron is currently working on his seventh studio album, which will be released in April of 2012.
