BET Hip-Hop Awards reveals 2023 nominees
The annual BET Hip-Hop Awards are taking place once again, in Atlanta. The show is scheduled to be taped on October 3, and air on October 10. Furthermore, there will also be plenty of tributes in honor of the 50th anniversary of hip-hop.
Furthermore, Cardi B and 21 Savage also have the most nominations for this year’s Hip-Hop Awards. This is as a result of 12 nominations each.
This year’s BET Hip-Hop Awards will mark the culmination of our yearlong celebration of hip-hop’s storied creation and the art form’s sonic and cultural expansion,” said Connie Orlando, BET’s EVP of specials, music programming, and music strategy. “We are honored by this year’s roster of nominees as they continue to carry the creativity and diversity of hip-hop into the future. We congratulate each nominee on their accomplishments as they take hip-hop artistry to new heights.”
For the Hip-Hop Artist Of The Year category, 21 Savage, Burna Boy, Cardi B, GloRilla, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, and Lil Uzi Vert are nominated. Furthermore, the Hip-Hop Album Of The Year category also features GloRilla’s “Anyways, Life’s Great,” Coi Leray’s “COI,” DJ Khaled’s “God Did,” Drake and 21 Savage’s “Her Loss,” Jack Harlow’s “Jackman,” Lil Uzi Vert’s “Pink Tape,” and Megan Thee Stallion’s “Trumazine.”
